CincomBI™ Product Distribution Warehouse Exercise

The objective of this exercise is to present the major functions and technologies of CincomBI and the methods used to develop data warehousing and analytic solutions. You will develop a CincomBI solution for analyzing product distribution data extracted from the North Wind order-entry sample database.

In the exercise, the following are developed:

• Analysis and design
• Warehouse database
• ETL procedures
• OLAP schema
• Reports
• Packaging for deployment

As a prerequisite for this exercise, it is assumed that you have some knowledge of SQL. You should also have basic knowledge of the database implementation (DB2 or PostgreSql) for the warehouse database. Familiarity with relational database modeling (e.g., ERD, UML, etc.) is also helpful, but not required.

Telephone Support

Cincom FTP
The Cincom FTP site provides access to technical information 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To access the FTP service, you must obtain an account name and password from Cincom Customer Service.
