  • Pricing and margin analysis

Bidding and Estimating Special Requests Became Automatic

We are clearly positioned to bring products to market faster than we used to before. With Cincom we are positioned to have a better user experience. A lot of what we refer to as special design requests — which are a lot of the "same as except." type things that our customers want to do. We are able to more easily build those design requests into the configuration so that (when) we see a pattern or a repeat of certain product configurations, we're able to drive that into the standard offering very quickly. In some of our business units we're able to eliminate a lot of our special design requests that we've historically had to handle manually. So that obviously builds speed and efficiency into the process and on the backend allows the engineering to be focused on being creative and having ingenuity, versus just supporting the mundane, wrapped around the existing product offering. — Flashinski, Greenheck Fan
