Senior Software Engineer - Smalltalk (US)

Cincom Smalltalk™

Cincom Smalltalk is an object-oriented application development suite for creating and maintaining portable, cross-platform business applications. For developers of scalable internet, intranet, and client/server applications, Cincom Smalltalk programming tools exceed the time-to-market requirements of today’s markets, enabling software developers to build applications quickly and efficiently and delivering significant productivity over Java™, C#, C++, or Visual Basic®. Cincom Smalltalk consists of two environments, VisualWorks® and ObjectStudio®.

Key Qualifications

• B.S. computer science or related education
• Minimum 5 years hands-on Smalltalk Development experience
• Thorough familiarity with Visualworks Core Classes
• Appropriate experience with StORE or other control systems variants
• Expert Object Oriented Design Skills
• Background in User Interface Design, particularly in the Programming Tools area
• Database Knowledge a plus: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Virtual Machine Experience a plus
