Upgrade now to the latest release of SUPRA Server PDM (1.3.10), which offers the following major process improvements:
- Serial read-ahead cache buffering — This feature can dramatically improve the performance of serial read (read-only) database operations.
- Enhanced buffer management algorithm — Release 1.3.10 offers an enhanced buffer management algorithm for files that are fully buffered.
- DBA expand related dataset utility — The DBA expand related dataset utility has been enhanced to allow new records to be added to a new file-spec (extent).
- Increase in maximum number of PDM tasks — The maximum number of PDM tasks has increased from 1,000 to 32,766.
- Operator command utility — The operator command utility has been enhanced to provide new functions.
- Addition of DEBUG parameter — The DEBUG parameter has been added to the HELP file for csiopcom for the operator commands DISABLE and ENABLE.
- REDO command — The REDO command has been added to csiopcom, allowing the previous command to be re-executed without retyping it.
- Context switch reduction — The number of context switches required to perform a DML function has been reduced to two.
- Reduction in required semaphores — The number of semaphores required for each task has been reduced from two to one.
SUPRA Server PDM for HP-UX can now run multiple single-task PDM applications simultaneously with multi-task PDMs.
