GKN Aerospace has supplied advanced composite and high-performance alloy structures to the most prestigious companies in aircraft, but it needed to align its technology and business strategies so that new acquisitions would generate value quickly and sustain competitive advantage.

An integrated ERP system was the obvious solution, but implementation couldn’t be permitted to disrupt business. Customers deserved and demanded that their complex products be delivered fast and to specifications.

With Cincom’s Enterprise Management solution, GKN achieved its goal in just four and a half months, while reducing application integration costs by 40 percent. A second phase reduced GKN’s inventory investment by $25 million, with a 42 percent increase in inventory turns and a 38 percent reduction in cycle time.
